Recently, we have been working alongside Al Raya during a pivotal moment in their history. As they transform from a legacy supermarket chain into Saudi Arabia’s leading discounter, the goal is to deliver outstanding value directly to consumers.
Our role was to help bring that value to life. Rather than just “tracking” customers, Al Raya’s first loyalty program – supported by SMASH – is about understanding how to better serve the community. By combining our technology and experience, we launched the Al Raya Club mobile app and SMASHeVouchers to make this new direction tangible for every shopper.

Powered by our SMASH framework, the mobile app is based on three pillars to ensure an intuitive experience:
- Simple: Registration is effortless.
- Exciting: Members get instant benefits from their first transaction. The modern design makes it easy to find the nearest store location, exclusive deals and discounts.
- Connected: Al Raya engages and shares announcements directly through the app keeping consumers updated and building a more personal relationship.
This project follows an earlier implementation of SMASHeVouchers enabling Al Raya customers to add digital products to their transaction at the checkout, turning Al Raya into a one-stop seamless transaction destination.
